Safeguarding

EAST Anglian Schools’ Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers across all the schools within the MAT to share this commitment.

Safeguarding is considered to be everyone’s responsibility.

All staff and volunteers across all the schools in the MAT are aware of their duty of care to keep children safe and to enable the best outcomes for them all.

We will work with social care, the police, health services and other services to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm.

EAST Multi Academy Trust includes the following Academies.

Primary Schools:

Secondary Schools:

Special Schools:

The Safeguarding Policies at each of the MAT academies can be found on the schools' website by clicking the school links above.

Prevent Duty

It is our responsibility to put in place robust procedures to protect our students from radicalisation and extremism.

These procedures are set out in our existing safeguarding policies;

Protecting the children in our care against extremism and radicalisation is treated in the same way as protecting them from other harms such as drugs, gangs, neglect and sexual exploitation.

In addition to our safeguarding responsibilities, we also help students build resilience against extremism and radicalisation by fostering a strong ethos and values-based education.

To help, here are some useful resources that explain the Prevent duty and advise on how we tackle extremism and radicalisation.
